Aimee was learning to play the violin through the school.
The teacher left a few months ago and hasn't been replaced
She loves music so the answer was to pick another instrument
Her mum managed to find a local teacher of the keyboard guitar and drums
She has chosen the drums
This is her at week six
She rocks does our girl
Our grandson loves superheroes
His grandad went to help create a bedroom for a superhero lover
Mum and Dad painted the room yesterday
Mum sourced the wall art on internet
Grandad and Dad put it up today
Mum dressed the room with new duvet cover curtains lampshade
and another couple of other pieces of wall art
The result is one happy chappie who can hardly wait to go to bed
I love old fashioned standard lamps.
Every home in the fifties and sixties seemed to have one.
Problem :- hubbie not so keen
A trip to Country Affair Kinross last weekend I spied one in the
corner, it was white with bumble bees painted on it with a mis- matched shade
Colin's face was a picture when I returned to the car with it.
Asked him to trust me and so another bit of recycling took place.
I forgot to take picture of the stand before I painted it
I striped the lampshade
Got lovely material at Rejects
Hey presto
I am delighted with it and looks great in the livingroom
The best bit Hubbie likes it too
