A wee sneaky peek at my next project

Hopefully it will end up as a table runner for the kitchen table

I am also currently trying to find fabric (10 metres) to make new curtains for the kitchen this does involve 2 pairs as kitchen has sitting area at back of the house and a rather large window to the front. Anyway I digress on my hunt I stopped at Country Fabrics in Crook of Devon they didn't have what I was looking for but look at what greets you in their car park. Not too shabby and the sound of the water was so lovely and calming.

Oh Sew Happy

Years ago I had a sewing box that sat at the side of a chair in our living room

The house we lived in before this one had been a 'down size' property and I had decided there was no room for it. I always kind of regretted that decision. Last week I noticed this on the well known auction site put in what I thought was a daft low bid and couldn't believe it when I won. It arrived yesterday.

Quirky and perfect for me.

Oh and I get to fill it with pretty things.

Sale, cut, sew = Love

When I made their mums birthday quilt the girlie & boy both loved it and spent a lot of time cuddled up in it and asked if they could have one too.

Bought these batiks in the sale at Purely Patchwork

This is the girlies

I did no planning just cut the triangles sewed them as they came out of the pile

She loves it. This is her all cuddled up today

I popped a few marvel hero patches on the boys quilt

If you look closely at the first photo of the boy you can see the feature wall in their house is skulls.

Wasn't at all sure how it would look when their mama said what they were planning but have to say with the new suite and grey painted walls it's pretty cool
