It's been very windy and the rain hasn't really halted for 24 hours
In Kincardne we've escaped relatively unscathed
Not so where our oldest daughter lives
The town centre
The bottom of the road where she lives

Christmas Eve filled with laughter, happiness and love

There are 9 embroideries in the Simply Blessed range
They are then joined together using patchwork
I intend to do that but in a more suitable pattern to my personality using Lynette Anderson fabric
I am on embroidery number 3 using Cottage Garden thread which is hand dyed and variegated
Chris the lovely lady from Braidcrafts in New South Wales Australia helped source enough thread from the same dye lot so the embroideries would have same thread throughout. Her kindness shows no bounds.
Relax and sew girl! Relax and sew!
Aimee has outgrown her desk and stool
Murray could be doing with one
He loves Minecraft so grandad thought a remodel was in order
It was the pretty purple colour that is visible on the lower part of the stool in the first picture
A bit of Shrek green paint. RESULT

I love pomegranates. I only buy them late October early November why?
When I was young it was the only time of the year you could get them.
When I do eat one I am immediately transported back to my grannies living room
sitting in front of the coal fire sharing love happiness and the ruby red fruit with her.
Simply wonderful memories
Our bedroom furniture is about to get a facelift
2 chest of drawers with a total of 8 drawers
1 linen cabinet with 1 drawer

A beautiful setting
This photo was taken a month or so ago at 5.30am
Couple of weekends ago we headed out and about
I had read about Biggar Stitches in ..... Biggar
Kim who has the shop is so enthusiastic about patchwork & quilting it was a delight to meet her.
I loved the layout of the shop shelves full of fabric.
A bed in the corner for displaying quilts and cushions. Also a man cave corner complete with chair.
Anyway I managed to find lots of goodies including a Dresden Plate
template, which resulted in a cushion to match in with my Quilted Garden quilt.
Mum and Dad took the kids for their first visit to St Andrews.
Seems to have been a success and it was sunny.
Oh and a fish supper in Anstruther on the way home
I loved the Quilters Garden fabric by Lynette Anderson
Perfect for a quilt for me
The 12 embroideries were taken from Patchwork Loves Embroidery by Gail Pan
