Frank

It's been very windy and the rain hasn't really halted for 24 hours

In Kincardne we've escaped relatively unscathed

Not so where our oldest daughter lives

The town centre

The bottom of the road where she lives

Time Consuming..... But

I will enjoy every minute of this project

It may take a while

There are 9 embroideries in the Simply Blessed range

They are then joined together using patchwork

I intend to do that but in a more suitable pattern to my personality using Lynette Anderson fabric

I am on embroidery number 3 using Cottage Garden thread which is hand dyed and variegated

Chris the lovely lady from Braidcrafts in New South Wales Australia helped source enough thread from the same dye lot so the embroideries would have same thread throughout. Her kindness shows no bounds.

Relax and sew girl! Relax and sew!

Remodel

Aimee has outgrown her desk and stool

Murray could be doing with one

He loves Minecraft so grandad thought a remodel was in order

It was the pretty purple colour that is visible on the lower part of the stool in the first picture

A bit of Shrek green paint. RESULT

He is delighted with it

Pressie and re-invention

Hard to believe it's that time of year again

Christmas make for my dearest friend

A embroidery pattern by Pearl Louise Krush and the fabric is

Under the Mistletoe by Anni Downs of Hatched & Patched

Perfect colours to match the blue range cooker

A few years ago I made is garland
The Twelve Days of Christmas by Mandy Shaw
I only ever used it once as it was made for a different house

Two of my favourite things are A Christmas Carol and The Twelve Days of Christmas

A bit of a re-think and using fabric I received two Christmases ago from DD1

The re-invention is complete
Love it

Emma

Emma Bridgwater to be exact

I love the new Christmas Rose design

I couldn't resist a mug or two especially when they could be personalised

I am hoping that Dad Santa might provided Chrimbo pennies to purchase the teapot

Pomegranate & Pumpkins

The kids have carved their pumpkins

Murray ...... A Minecraft Creeper

Aimee ..... Jack Skellington

Colin did ours

I love pomegranates. I only buy them late October early November why?

When I was young it was the only time of the year you could get them.

When I do eat one I am immediately transported back to my grannies living room

sitting in front of the coal fire sharing love happiness and the ruby red fruit with her.

Simply wonderful memories

A bit of Autumn decoration to celebrate my favourite season

Fintry Farm

Headed out and about today

Came across Courtyard Cafe, Knockraich Farm, Fintry

Beautifully decorated in a style I love

Good food, friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere

Oh and they sell bits and pieces of home accessories

Will be visiting there again

Time flys bye

Next year will be for the majority of pupils in this photo a milestone birthday

This is St Johns Primary P5

Miss Wellingtons class. She was a visiting teacher from Canada

She was strict and punishment was a rap on the knuckles with a ruler

I am standing to the left hand side of teacher

Scary thing is I can remember nearly everyone but cannie remember

what I had for my tea last night...doh

Add-on

Couple of weekends ago we headed out and about

I had read about Biggar Stitches in ..... Biggar

Kim who has the shop is so enthusiastic about patchwork & quilting it was a delight to meet her.

I loved the layout of the shop shelves full of fabric.

A bed in the corner for displaying quilts and cushions. Also a man cave corner complete with chair.

Anyway I managed to find lots of goodies including a Dresden Plate

template, which resulted in a cushion to match in with my Quilted Garden quilt.

Quilters Garden

I loved the Quilters Garden fabric by Lynette Anderson

Perfect for a quilt for me

The 12 embroideries were taken from Patchwork Loves Embroidery by Gail Pan

Decided to keep the design simple
Also thought a little hand quilting rather than machine
All ready for the chilly nights.

Mind you with the summer we're having could put it to use now
