Bella! Bella!

Colin started work at Edinburgh College part-time which still

gave me use of the car on the days he wasn't working.

Since Setember he has been in college 5 days a week

Ashley and I shared a car when I was watching Murray after nursery.

A job change means she is now using the car most days for work

and I am not needed on Murray sitting duties now

Colin has become more concerned I would have no form

of transport so he got me Bella!

A Fiat 500 I just love her. I am also managing to drive after being

out of action for so long.

The kids were here for tea yesterday which was lovely.

They asked to be taken home in Bella

They love her too

A Mix Up

Here comes a real mix of photos

The boy sneaked through to mum & dad's room this morning.

It must be a comfy bed this is him at 9.50am eventually rose at 10.10am

The two schools that are amalgamating had a coffee morning today with

lots of info and photos from years gone by.

This is Ashleys DD2 class she is forth from the left.

It was quite a small class and lots of lasting friendships were forged.

The schools are St. John's Primary & Claremont Primary

Our girls went to Claremont

I went to St Johns in its original location a good number of years ago it relocated

to The Grange Secondary School which is a old building my mother and grandfather

both attended it. A nice new school is going to be most welcome.

I found this photo of the boy he had been walking for about a fortnight

slipped and fell broke his leg. This is him just after getting his plaster on.

He was walking with the plaster on within hours of getting home.

Aimee's favourite shoes at the moment

Quilt Basket

I have a fair collection of quilts that I have made over the years.

There are a selected few that are used on a regular basis.

I have been trying to decide how to store them so that they are within easy reach

when required apart from stacking them on top of one another or draped

over a chair or the couch.

Hubbie to the rescue he mentioned when he was in Denmark a good

few years ago the place he stayed had a log basket full of quilts sitting next to

the french doors leading to the patio. Just incase it was a bit chilly

but still nice enough to sit and get a bit of fresh air.

Light bulb moment

I decided to roll them and tie them with ribbon

Well pleased with the result and as we already had the log

basket and I had plenty of ribbon I didn't have to buy anything.

Love it

No wine needed

I am and always have been a cat lover thanks to having a gran who

always had at least one cat in her home.

We have had two cats Lucy who we had from a kitten until she

was fifteen. Grace we got as an adult cat of four yrs from SSPCA we

lost her two years later to kidney failure.

I would love another cat but at the moment we really don't need

to bother as we have the pleasure of Merlot our lovely next door neighbours

cat. He fully believes in sharing himself . Every morning if the sun shines he sits on

our patio furniture soaking up the rays. Then slowly moves to furniture further up the garden

following the sun.

Not a great photo as it was taken through the glass of the back door

as not to disturb him.

Every Breath We Take

As I mentioned yesterday Colin and I have been married for 34 years today.

Also mentioned yesterday was my few close and much loved friends.

One of them is Maureen as it happens Maureen was our first next door neighbour

when we married. We now live around the corner from one another we never lost

touch throughout the years and she popped in today not realising it has

been 34years since we became friends.

Anyway we had a laugh when I said my marriage to Colin is the longest thing

I have ever done apart from breathe!!!!!!!

Slowly back to normal

I am quite a private person by nature with not a lot of friends but those

I am fortunate to share my life with I love and cherish.

I have over the past three months been out of action due to illness without boring

anyone too much I have never been as ill as this and finally got discharged from

the district nurses care today they had thought it might take up to six months

before that happened. I still have to build up my stamina and still under the care

of the doctor. Still what a milestone for me today.

To my family, friends(you know who you are) and wonderful neighbours thank

you for your care and love. My hubbie and I celebrate our 34th wedding

anniversary tomorrow to him I thank him for saving me yet again and providing

me with all the love and care I needed. He kept house cooked and held down his

job good on you ma Walby.

The pictures are of Easter which was the first day I managed to sit and

enjoy the company of my family.

As you can see Flash Gordon joined in our Easter Egg Hunt
