The Princess & The Bike

Aimee has suddenly went from being a 'Tomboy' to loving girly things and is there any other colour than PINK? She was visiting today as mummy & daddy were retrieving her changing unit from our loft so it can be used for her baby brother due in August. Anyway she also found her old bike that is far too small but what could be better than riding up and down the street dressed in your princess skirt and crown ...oh and no shoes on..... Ah bliss

'You don't grow me flowers anymore'

We have a small patio area just outside livingroom doors I usually have pots full of lilies, lavender and daisies this year have decided to try lettuce, strawberries and various herbs. The lettuce have now been in for a week and look ok so far. Not sure how successful it will be but enjoyed planting them all with Aimee. She also has 3 strawberry plants at her house which she checks and waters everyday. Looking forward to a relaxing weekend. We have had a beautiful sunny day here today.

A first time for anything

Well who would believe it I am blogging. I am basically reaching out into the dark and trying to fumble my way through what is totally alien to me. I take care of my grandaugher while mum work part-time as admin assistant in local school. Anyhoo Aimee had a half hour visit to the primary school she will attend in August today another milestone in what has been the quickest 5 years ever. She loved it. What was strange for me was I used to attend the same school and what I remembered being a huge school hall now doesn't seem so big or as intimidating.
